Objectives: At the conclusion of the lecture, participants will be able to,
1. Discuss varied clinical presentations associated with select agents.
2. Describe growth and morphological characteristics of some of the select agents that may be encountered in a clinical microbiology laboratory setting.
3. Identify the algorithm/steps to rule out a select agent in a clinical microbiology laboratory.

Vaginosis Diagnosis: Moving into the Modern Era Rocco LaSala, MD

Objectives: At the conclusion of the lecture, participants will be able to,
1. Describe the presenting features, and clinical diagnostic criteria used by providers in the approach to patients with suspected vaginal infections.
2. Identify the techniques used by clinical microbiology labs to test for pathogenic microbes producing vaginal infections.
3. Explain the benefits and drawbacks of molecular methods over standard microscopy-based diagnostic tests for vaginitis/vaginosis.
